Representing Brooklyn, New York DJ Rondevu has been DJing since the age of 10 when he began to master his skills on a tape deck and a house turntable. He has since moved up to a studio and has produced records, tapes, CDs and DVDs that have touched all parts of the globe.
His Djing skills have been displayed throughout the world from club, party, radio station and concert appearances throughout New York City, the entire United States, Canada, England, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, the West Indies, Japan , France, Italy, Spain, Yugoslavia, Serbia, Kosovo, Albania, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Macedonia, Croatia, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Czechoslovakia, Greece, the Netherlands, Hungary, Australia, the Virgin Islands and many more. He has shared the same stage as some of the biggest names in music ranging from EPMD, DJ Premier, The Rza, Ol Dirty Bastard, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, Onyx, Lords of the Underground, Paul Wall, Montell Jordan, Dj Scratch, Tony Touch, Naughty by Nature, Marley Marl, Funk Master Flex, The Beatnuts, Pharoahe Monch, Black Sheep, Smif N Wessun, Heltah Skeltah, David Morales, Slick Rick, Darren Emerson, Brand Nubian, The Ying Yang Twins, De La Soul and countless more. He has appeared on BETs Rap City and MTV numerous times and was a featured mixer on Sirius Satellite Radio. He has also been involved in live sessions at the Black Expo, was a finalist on the Legendary Awesome Two radio shows Battle of the Underground DJs, been nominated for several mixtape awards and has been interviewed, reviewed and featured on websites, magazines, newspapers and TV shows throughout the world including the Source, XXL, Scratch , Fader, Tablist, Backspin, Ozone, Rapmullet, Version 69 and many more.
Versatility is a key to DJ Rondevu’s success as he spins Hip Hop, R&B, Reggae, Rock, House, Old School, Electronic Music and more at the highest level without missing a beat. He could be called a master of all trades as a DJs as he is a turntablist /party rocker/ mix tape master. He has a style that none have been able to duplicate. Aside from doing his thing at parties and making hot mixes , DJ Rondevu is becoming recognized as much more than a DJ.
His skills as a producer are becoming well known as some of the records he has produced have gone on to receive much critical acclaim including his first Dangerous Minded single in XXL Magazine and RER magazine throughout Europe. Some of his productions have even been used as backdrops on ESPN. He has produced records for the multi-platinum group Das Efx including the title track of their 5th album “How We Do” and has served as their tour DJ for more than 20 years. He has worked with Junior Mafia, Boot Camp Click, Group Home, Thirstin Howl III and a host of other major label artists in addition to producing underground independent artists. He also made history as the first mixtape dj to release an independent album and dvd with Dangerous Minded Vol. 2 which featured much of his original production and was recognized in the Source magazine and other notable media outlets. Currently DJ Rondevu is continuing to keep the mixtape culture alive by being one of the few who maintain a high level of artistry when it comes to making mix cds as well as branching out into film production and editing as well as acting. He also continues to tour the globe as a headlining party dj.
